*Time between attacks is the time from the attack's execution to the start of the next attack (includes backswing). *First stats are 1st form's initial other stats include 300% Empire of Cats Treasures recharge time may vary. Both of these allow its effects to last beyond their duration between attacks, which allows Tathagata Cat to almost perma-slow when stacked, and perma-weaken as well, to a lesser extent.Ĥ0% chance to slow Floating enemies for 120f 4 secondsģ0% chance to weaken Floating enemies to 50% for 120f 4 seconds However, there are two Talents that aren't complete disappointments: Weaken and Slow Up. Even then, Tathagata Cat's range is not enough to deal with most late-game enemies, so you won't lose much by not investing in it. The same goes for Attack Buff, unless you're desperate for a new ranged attacker. Health Buff is also not recommended, as Tathagata Cat, despite having decent stats, won't go anywhere with only two knockbacks, a long recharge time and little more to give it value. Move Speed Up is situational and not recommended, as it may sometimes cause Tathagata Cat to creep into the range of dangerous enemies and die horribly as a result. At the very least, Tathagata Cat is a decent substitute in situations where Sanzo is outranged, which only a few notable Floating enemies do: Mooth, Maawth and Owlbrow.Įven with Talents, Tathagata Cat will never be able to reach the standards of Sanzo Cat, who ends up having the same exact abilities, so there is no real reason to invest in it. Furthermore, as the slow chance has not increased, Tathagata Cat is still unreliable unless stacked. Beyond that, it is still outclassed by Sanzo and Necro-Dancer, both of whom remain more spammable than Tathagata Cat. All of this increases its general use, and it now fully outranges Mecha-Bun, although this is still very situational if you have Necro-Dancer Cat. Tathagata Cat gains more health and attack power, along with more range. Just don't invest too much into it, because it's only a matter of time until the Rare Cat Capsules bless you with Bishop Cat. If Sanzo Cat is not owned, Bodhisattva Cat can be stacked to effectively counter Bun Buns, Shy Boys and some of the Cyclones. Bodhisattva may have the higher stats, but when it comes to stalling Floating enemies, there's just no beating Sanzo's spammability. In order to classify Cat Units, see here Strategy/Usageīodhisattva Cat would be a solid anti-Floating unit if not for the existence of Bishop Cat, whose True Form, Sanzo Cat, does everything Bodhisattva Cat does and more.
